About Seafood Cornwall Training

More about our Fishing industry training school

Seafood Cornwall Training is based in Newlyn at the heart of Cornwall's Fishing Industry.

As a not-for-profit, commercial fishing industry training school, we opened our doors to fishermen in January 2009. Since then, we have expanded and become approved by the MCA and the RYA, which has allowed us to to expand our range of courses. We now offer a wide range of commercial fishing and merchant Navy training courses, allowing those interested in pursuing or expanding their career at sea to train in Newlyn at the heart of the commercial fishing industry

By understanding how the industry works, we make every effort to make our training accessible and convenient to all. That might be by holding courses in home ports, offering support with form filling or helping with careers advice.

Seafood Cornwall Training works closely with other organisations to provide you with the skills and resources necessary to reach your potential.
