RYA Radar
RYA Radar One-Day Course - no prerequisite knowledge.
This one-day training session will make use of our Radar Simulator equipment (RYA Approved) and tutor experience and knowledge to help you understand how to use your Radar equipment to help watchkeeping and navigation.
Radar is one of the most versatile electronic navigation aids available to mariners, yet it is often the most misunderstood. Whether you are a commercial fisherman in Newlyn or a leisure sailor exploring the Cornish coastline, knowing how to interpret your radar screen is vital for safety in restricted visibility and busy shipping lanes.
At Seafood Cornwall Training, our one-day RYA Radar course takes you from the basics of switching on the set to advanced collision avoidance techniques using RYA-approved simulation software.
Course Certification and Compliance
This course meets the RYA requirements and a certificate will be issued to those who complete the course successfully.
