The one-day Fish filleting course is aimed at anyone working in the seafood industry, from the catcher to the chef. Techniques taught on the day will include skinning, filleting and steaking a variety of fish, all sourced from the region.
The seafood skills courses can be attended individually or as a block and will be certified by Seafish. Equipped with new skills and increased confidence, trainees will be able to add real value to the South West's catch. Further dates and venues across the South West will be announced shortly. Anyone from the seafood sector involved in the catching, processing, marketing, selling, serving or distribution of fish can take part at a subsidised rate.
